Good Morning and Happy FridayJustin,
While we still have over a week until the survey deadline, we already collected 70% of the communities responses. Ahead of the deadline of August 1st, we wanted to share the statistics to date. There are some clear decisions developing already by the community and some are still on the fence. We will keep the survey open until the end of day August 1st to ensure anyone that is on vacation or out of town this summer has a chance to voice their opinion. Thanks for everyone's participation and feedback so far.
66% of the community believes excessive speeding is a current safety concern.
60% are in favor of stop signs at major intersections. We have a majority of the households in favor of stop signs so we will be sending a follow up survey the to identify which of the major intersections we should install stop signs. If it falls under 51% by Aug 1st we will not move forward with the second survey results.
53% are in favor of increased signage. We will highlight the current signage and possible additions/changes in a follow up communication and survey.
86% are NOT in favor of radar speed limit signs. Even if the remaining households voted for this we will not have a majority in favor of this approach.
88% are NOT in favor of speed bumps and similar approaches. Even if the remaining households voted for this we will not have a majority in favor of this approach.
83% are NOT in favor of speed cameras. Even if the remaining households voted for this we will not have a majority in favor of this approach.
82% are NOT in favor of any amendments to the CCRs for enforcement. Even if the remaining households voted for this we will not have a majority in favor of this approach.
88% are NOT in favor of traffic circles. Even if the remaining households voted for this we will not have a majority in favor of this approach.
For special assessments, 61% are NOT in favor of a special assessment, 11% would spend $1K-$5K across the community, 15% would spend $5K-$10K across the community, 14% would spend $10+K across the community. The majority of the community is NOT in favor of a special assessment.
Based on the results so far, with a final tally to come out after the Aug 1st deadline, we will focus our energy on a Stop Sign survey and then determine if we have the budget to make it happen in this budget year.
Thanks,
The Saratoga Hills HOA Board
